1. What is the All-Service Academy Ball?

The All-Service Academy Ball is an event created and hosted by the Minnesota parent clubs of the US Air Force Academy, US Coast Guard Academy, US Merchant Marine Academy, US Military Academy, and US Naval Academy to celebrate and honor the Cadets and Midshipmen that attend those academies.  It is an evening of fun in a formal setting meant to capture the flavor and culture of a traditional Mess Night (Navy) and Dining In (Army/Air Force).

All Cadets and Midshipmen, their families and guests

7. How many people typically attend the All-Service Academy Ball?

Approximately 100-200 people attend.

8. How much does it cost to attend the All-Service Academy Ball?

The cost to attend the ball is set annually and is based on the venue's current pricing. 

9. What happens at the All-Service Academy Ball?

Cadets, Midshipmen, family and friends all come together for an evening of fun in a formal setting meant to capture the flavor and culture of a traditional Mess Night (Navy) and Dining In (Army/Air Force).  There will be a formal program led by the Vice President of the Mess to include dinner and dancing (DJ).  There will also be a silent auction and a mini-casino for your enjoyment.

10. What should I wear?

Cadets and Midshipmen are required to wear their “Mess Dress.”  Black Tie Completely Optional – Men typically wear a suit and tie.  Women typically wear a long/short dress.  It's less about what you wear and more about celebrating our Cadets and Midshipmen.

11. What should I bring?

You should plan to bring cash and/or a checkbook for the auction and credit card if you'd like to buy drinks.

12. How can I help?

The All-Service Academy Ball does not generate a profit.  All proceeds from the silent auction and purchase of All-Service Academy Ball tickets helps to cover the cost of the event itself.  We are grateful for help with donations for the auction - miscellaneous gifts and gift cards, liquor, craft beer and wine, theme baskets, etc.  To donate cash or in-kind gifts, please contact the committee at mnserviceacademyball@gmail.com

13. What are the footlockers?

At the ball you will have a chance to bid on the fantastic collections of beer, wine and/or spirits.
